I'm Pretty Sure He Thinks I'm a Dweeb
Twin boys just moved into town, and I think one might have a crush on me! The other...? Maybe not so much.

Oh y'all, this one is all about boys! Twin boys just moved into town, and I think one might have a crush on me! The other...? Maybe not so much.

Maybe it's obvious (hello emoji stickers that are SO not 1991), but I'm covering up their names for privacy. Let's call them "Sam and Will Bickle", just for fun.
I'm also continuing my trend of signing off by another name in case anyone snoops. (Hey there, Joan!)
I call the twins "Sam" and "Will" in the video, but after recording it I realized that I mixed them up at some point and switch them around. Oh well, now you'll never really know which one thought I was a dweeb! (BTW, we need put 'dweeb' back into circulation. It's a very fun word to say. Try it with me now: dweeeeeeeeb).
Enjoy a video read-aloud of today's entry with commentary and a journal prompt!

It's heartbreaking how painfully clueless I was with these boys. I share this in the video, too, but on their first day at school a kid (whom I'd known since preschool), introduced me as "the biggest brownie in school." I stupidly thought it was a compliment. I mean, who doesn't like brownies?? How could that not be a nice way to describe someone?? Yeah, well, I later learned that's not exactly the case, and so every interaction I had with the twins was probably because they were on some kind of dare.
I really loved school, I loved learning and I loved participating in class. I was one of those kids, and I got made fun of for it. It's such a shame that all those qualities were supremely uncool back then. Is it any better now? Let me know in the comments.
Speaking of comments, for today's journal prompt, did you ever like someone in school (or last week) and they didn't like you back? Be sure to sign in and share, and let's commiserate together.
Stay rad,
Sarah
