I Only Got Four Hours of Sleep

"Well, here I am at the Northstar Wonderwomen reunion. I can't believe I actually forgot my camera. Oh well, at least I have my journal! Gosh, I LOVE their house! They have three decks! Wow! Well we didn't do much except for eating supper, then we went to the middle school and we scared away ducks by a pond. While we were at the school we were going to go inside the school until we realized that no one was there and that a door was unlocked! I must say, I'm the one who realized the door was unlocked. And listen: we have stuff going on now, so BYE!

Dear Journal, sorry, but I didn't get a chance to write more yesterday because...
...it was so busy with Adventureland and stuff. After we were at the school we walked home in the dark and on the way home you walk on this sidewalk next to the highway where we sang sound-off's. You know, "Sound off, one two, Sound off, three four, Bring it on down now, one, two, three, four one, two, THREE FOUR! It's way cool. After the sound off, we just started to talk, then these guys in a red Ford truck zoomed past us and whistled and we started to laugh and we decided to run the rest way home.

So we opened presents and we watched the videos from the first, second and fourth year we were together. It's SO funny to see everyone so young! Anyway, after that we took the twins' radio outside and we danced and danced, listening to our "Unbelievable, OH!" song and "You're the Inspiration" song. It was, WAY COOL.
Then we just got ready for bed, did some levitation stuff, it was way cool.
And then we just talked until 2:30am. I went to bed with a horrible stomach ache and only slept for 4 hours. I got up at 6:30 and we got ready watching Kid Play cartoons until 7:00 and went to eat a Breakfast of fried eggs, poppy seed bread, cantaloupe, apple juice, etc.
Then we talked some more and during a conversation we realized that we were all trying out for Honor Choir in Ames! We all hated the song Bushes and Briars, but with 4 second sopranos and one alto we all turned that song into a beautiful, beautiful song that we all loved.
Today's writing prompt is to write about sleepovers! Did you get to have them? If you did, what did you do? Were you able to sleep over at other people's houses, or just have them at your house? Is it just me or had the idea of sleepovers changed since the 80's and 90's? I have a kid now who is about the age I was in this entry and we RARELY allow her to sleep over at someone's house. We rarely have them here, honestly. Why is that do you think? Let's get the convo going!
Love,
Sarah
